About Me
Welcome. As the manager of a junior AFL team, I am mindful about the medical care of my young charges. In the past, I worried about broken bones and hits to the head. I honestly didn't pay much attention to their feet. I started to meet up with former players who complained about chronic foot and ankle conditions. This led me to do some research and gain respect for podiatry.
Now, I have a podiatrist on hand to help with shoe fittings and foot pain. I've learnt that youngsters often fail to report broken toenails, busted toes or serious blisters, setting them up for life-long problems. Mind you, adults can ignore problems too. My wife had a heel spur and only visited a podiatrist when she could no longer walk! This blog will hopefully alert you to the importance of foot care and the role of a podiatrist. Walk tall!
